Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Arachne Webb DBA PrintFromAI (“PrintFromAI”, “we”) collects when you use printfromai.com and our AI integrations, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information and we don’t use advertising trackers.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: email address, name and sign-in method (email/password or Google). Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see them.
• Orders: shipping name and address, optional phone number, the products and options you chose, order notes and print instructions.
• Files: the designs and optional “Extras” files you upload, and any proofs we create for you. Designs may contain personal information (for example the name, phone number and email printed on a business card).
• Messages: what you send us by email or in proof feedback.
• Reviews: your rating, review text, the display name you choose, your state and any photos you add. Published reviews are public; photos appear in “Images from our community” only if you allow it.

Information collected automatically

• Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps in our server logs, used for security, fraud prevention and debugging.
• Session data: a random user ID for your guest or signed-in session.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives your card or wallet details directly; we receive only limited information such as the payment status, card brand and last four digits. See Stripe’s privacy policy.

When you use PrintFromAI inside an AI assistant

If you use our app in Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant, the assistant sends our server only what a tool needs: the product choices, the design file you add in Print Studio or ask the assistant to share, and an order number with its email for status lookups. We don’t receive your chat history, memories or other files. The AI assistant’s own privacy policy covers what you type in the chat.

How we use it

• To prepare, print, ship and support your orders — including reorders and Human Edit proofs.
• To send transactional emails: order confirmations, proofs, status and shipping updates.
• To keep your account, cart and designs available across devices.
• To protect the service, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with law, tax and accounting obligations.
• To improve the site using aggregated, non-identifying information.

We don’t send marketing emails unless you opt in, and every marketing email will include an unsubscribe link. We don’t use your designs to train AI models.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run PrintFromAI, under contracts that limit their use of it:

• Google Cloud and Firebase — hosting, database, file storage and authentication.
• Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention.
• Resend or Amazon Web Services (SES) — sending email.
• Print and shipping partners — to produce your order and deliver it (shipping carriers receive your name, address and, if provided, phone number).
• Google Customer Reviews — only if you agree in the box shown after checkout: Google receives your email, order number, country and estimated delivery date to send you one survey about your order. Google’s privacy policy applies to that survey.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business (in which case this policy continues to apply). If you make a design public or submit it to the Community page, anyone can see that design.

Cookies and similar technologies

• Essential session cookie (__session, HttpOnly) keeps you signed in and links your cart.
• Firebase Authentication stores sign-in state in your browser’s local storage.
• Theme preference (light/dark) is saved in local storage.
• Promo code (pfa_coupon, 30 days) remembers a discount code you applied, and pfa_sub remembers that you joined our email list so we don’t ask again. Whether you dismissed the sign-up box is kept in local storage.
• Stripe sets cookies on the checkout page for fraud prevention.
• Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when you load a page.
• Google reviews shown on product pages may load reviewer profile pictures from Google’s servers.

We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of. We honor Global Privacy Control signals; since we don’t sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, no further action is needed.

How long we keep it

• Designs, Extras and proofs from orders: 2 years after the order, so you can reorder; then deleted.
• Uploads that are never ordered: may be deleted after 90 days.
• Order and payment records: as long as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes (generally 7 years).
• Account details: until you delete your account. Inactive guest sessions with no orders may be removed.
• Server logs: about 30 days.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live in the United States, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy;
• correct inaccurate information (you can also update your address in your account);
• delete your account and personal information, except what we must keep by law (for example, order records for taxes);
• make a shared design private again (you can do this yourself in your account).

Email support@printfromai.com from the address on your account. We’ll verify your request and respond within 45 days. If we deny your request you can reply to appeal, and we’ll explain the outcome. Residents of states with consumer privacy laws (such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and others) have these rights by law; we extend them to everyone. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), private-by-default file storage with short-lived access links, access controls for our staff, and security monitoring, consistent with New York’s SHIELD Act. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will notify you as required by law.

Children

PrintFromAI is not directed to children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Where we process data

We operate in the United States and process data in the United States through our service providers.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page when our practices change and revise the “Last updated” date. If changes are significant, we’ll notify account holders by email.
